Planning the reception is an extremely fun and exciting part of the entire wedding experience. Some couples may decide to hire a planner for an event such as this, but in this day and age it is very easy for one to plan this themselves. Doing it yourself will not only cut costs, it will ensure that every single part of your reception is to your taste. With a little planning and organisation, your reception can reach perfection and become a memorable event for not only your partner and yourself, but for your entire wedding party to enjoy. After all, this is your big day, why hand it over to a stranger when you are quite able to do this yourself?

Your wedding party, full of family and friends, are only attending your wedding because they love and care about you and who you are. So make this wedding about you! Now that you have your wedding checklist, make sure to write any notes next to the boxes, such as reminders or perhaps put a small cross next to items you are deciding to leave out. Whilst looking over your new checklist, it is most likely a good time to start considering budget. Talk to your significant other and both look over this list. Start deciding which items you are willing to spend more money on, and which items you will scale back on to converse costs. 

By thinking a little out-of-the-box, you may be able to conjure up ways to save money. For example there are places to hire wedding dresses and suits from instead of buying one, or you may have a friend or family member who is a photographer that will give you a discount. Sometimes the most memorable wedding receptions are ones that couples have had to think creatively with in order to save money.
